Type section: along divide between Deep Creek and Crystal Creek, near Cedar City, in T. 39 S., R. 10 W., either in Washington[?] Co. or in Iron[?] Co., UT. Named from Crystal Creek (Thompson and Stokes, 1970).
[Discrepancy in GNU records (USGS DDS-6) concerning whether type section occurs in Washington or Iron Co. --unresolved.]
