W., Garden Spring Canyon 7.5-min quadrangle], Socorro Co., central NM. Named from old station of Coane on east side Oscura Mountains, [in sec. 16, T. 6 S., R. 6 E., Bingham 15-min quadrangle, 1948 ed.], Socorro Co., central NM (Thompson, 1942).
