According to GNU records (USGS DDS-6; Denver GNULEX), type locality not designated. Origin of name not stated by author (Pelletier, 1957).
According to GNU records (USGS DDS-6; Menlo GNULEX), type locality not designated. Named from exposures in Cloudburst Wash, 1 of the tributaries of Tucson Wash, in T. 8 S., R. 16 E., [Mammoth 7.5-min quadrangle] Pinal Co., AZ (Creasey, 1965).
