Named from exposures 8 to 10 mi southwest of Levan, just southwest of Chicken Creek Reservoir on east side of Highway 91, in sec. 19, T. 15 S., R. 1 W., Skinner Peaks 7.5-min quadrangle, Juab Co., central UT (Evernden and James, 1964; Felger and others, 2007).
