Type section (composite): exposures at Cliffside Restaurant on Route 420, Frankfort, Franklin Co., KY, are primary locality. Composite type section includes 4 other localities in Woodford and Mercer Cos., KY. Named from State Capitol Building in Frankfort (Conkin and Dasari, 1986).
