Typical exposures are found at Camp Hill, Tallapoosa Co., east-central AL (Deininger and others [abs.], 1969; Bentley and Neathery, 1970).
Type locality: pavement outcrop on banks of tributary of Sandy Creek, 2.5 mi northeast of Camp Hill, in NE/4 NW/4 sec. 11, T. 21 N., R. 24 E., Tallapoosa Co., east-central AL (Steltenpohl and others, 1990).
