Type section: at head of ravine draining into Mississippi River at Bushberg (former station on the St. Louis, Iron Mountain, and Southern RR), in NW/4 NE/4 NW/4 sec. 8, T. 41 N., R. 6 W., Jefferson Co., Herculaneum 7.5-min quadrangle, Jefferson Co., eastern MO (Mehl, 1960).
