Type section: on west side of Highland Range on crest of spur between Peasley [Peaslee] Canyon and Burnt Canyon, Pioche district, [in secs. 28, 29, 32, and 33, T. 1 N., R. 66 E., Highland Peak 7.5-min quadrangle], Lincoln Co., southeastern NV (Wheeler, 1948; see also Merriam, 1964).
