Type section: along State Route 36 (Dry Creek-Budden Canyon), from secs. 35 and 36, T. 29 N., R. 8 W. to sec. 18, T. 28 N., R. 6 W., Ono 15-min quadrangle, Tehama Co., CA (Murphy and others, 1964).
