(alphabetical) --all in TX: Archer City Formation, Markley Formation.

Late Pennsylvanian to Early Permian (Virgilian to Wolfcampian)


Type section, locality, area and/or origin of name:

Each formation in Bowie Group is assigned a stratotype representing either (a) one or several fluviogenic cycles or (b) the general lithology of a noncyclic sequence (Hentz, 1988).
