Type locality: on Bostwick Dairy Farm, in W/2 NE/4 sec. 11, T. 5 S., R. 1, E., whose buildings stand upon the ridge, Carter Co., south-central OK. Origin of name not stated by author, but probably named from Bostwick Ridge or Bostwick Dairy Farm in Carter Co., south-central OK (Tomlinson, 1929).
