Type exposures along Little Saline Creek, in Beauvais Twp., Ste. Genevieve Co., eastern MO (Weller and St. Clair, 1928).
Type section located along Little Saline Creek, south and west of the Ozora Marble Company quarries, approx. in NW/4 SE/4 SE/4 sec. 21, T. 36 N., R. 9 E., Minnith 7.5-min quadrangle, southeastern Ste. Genevieve Co., eastern MO (Thompson, 1993, p. 102).
