Reference section (subsurface): depth-interval 10,035 to 10,095 ft, Socony Vacuum Oil Company C. Dvorak No. 1 well, in SE/4 NE/4 sec. 6, T. 141 N., R. 94 W., Williston basin, Dunn Co., [ND] (Kume, 1963).
[North Dakota Geol. Survey considers type to be Shell Oil Company, Young Bear No. 32-4 well, in SW/4 NE/4, T. 148 N., R. 92 W.; API: 33-025-00347-00-00.]
