late Tertiary to Quaternary (late Pliocene to Pleistocene)*
Due to change in Plio-Pleistocene boundary, age may now be considered all or in part Pleistocene.


Type section, locality, area and/or origin of name:

Typically exposed on Anastasia Island, [St. Augustine 7.5-min quadrangle, St. Johns Co.], also in cut made by Florida East Coast RR on Tomora Creek near Ormond, [Ormond Beach 7.5-min quadrangle, Volusia Co.], and along the coast at Rockledge, [Cocoa 7.5-min quadrangle, Brevard Co.], eastern FL (Sellards, 1912).
