[Type section:] in west wall of Puyallup-Duwamish Valley in gullies under transmission line of Bonneville Power Administration, in center sec. 1, T. 19 N., R. 4 E., about 0.5 mi southwest of Alderton, Pierce Co., northwestern WA. [Named from Alderton] (Crandell and others, 1958).
