Shown on diagrammatic cross section of Milkweed Canyon and Peach Springs Canyon, Hualapai Plateau, northwest AZ. Composed of clay-siltstone and limestone. Underlies Milkweed Member (new) (Buck and Doe Conglomerate). Overlies Music Mountain Conglomerate (new) and locally Hindu Fanglomerate (new). Is Cenozoic age.

First published use of name other than in figures. Name attributed to Young (1966, unpub. dissert., Washington Univ., St. Louis, MO). Named for exposures in Westwater Canyon, a tributary to Milkweed Canyon located on northeast side of Hualapai Plateau in western Grand Canyon, Mohave Co, AZ, Plateau sedimentary province. Type not designated. Described as a massive white limestone overlain by a reddish layer of silt or claystone. Overlies Music Mountain Conglomerate (first used) and underlies Buck and Doe Conglomerate; both contacts are gradational. Assigned Miocene age.
