Summary:

Unit is named the Trego Hot Springs of the Pyramid Lake Member (new) of the Mount Mazama Formation. Is exposed in the Lake Lahontan area as well as in the Pyramid Lake area, northwest to Surprise Valley, CA. Is the most potassium-rich bed of tephra in the Pyramid Lake. Is interbedded with the lower member of the Sehoo Formation. Age is Pleistocene, 35 to 11.5 ka. (B1565)
