Weed's (1896) revision of Quadrant formation of Peale (1893) assigned quartzite beds to Quadrant quartzite and upper beds to Teton formation. Teton included beds between Quadrant quartzite and Ellis formation in Yellowstone province area. Teton rocks reassigned to Phosphoria formation. Name Teton abandoned (p. 5-11).
