Summary:

Abandoned herein. Name applied to a lithic type that occurs in many stratigraphic positions in metamorphic complex. Indiscriminate application has given term a purely compositional connotation and has destroyed whatever stratigraphic status it originally had. Listed as a unit of central Front Range, CO of the pre-1,700 m.y. (Precambrian X) metamorphic suite.
