Summary:

Named as middle of three named tongues of Conejo Volcanics of Topanga Group. Type area designated as exposures at Solstice Canyon, Santa Monica Mountains, east-central Point Dune quad, Los Angeles Co, CA. Consists of basaltic andesitic flows, breccias, and tuffs. Thickness is 244 m. Overlies Latigo Canyon Breccia Member (new) (Calabasas Formation); intertongues with Dry Canyon Sandstone Member (new) (Calabasas Formation); underlies Malibu Bowl Tongue (new) (Conejo Volcanics). Is middle Miocene age.
