Summary:

Several newly named eurypterid-bearing beds assigned to the Vernon Formation at the base of the Salina Group in western and central NY. Black shale horizons termed Barge Canal, Monroeav, Harris Hill, and Pittsford Beds and dolomitic interval termed Downing Brook Bed. Farmers Mills Bed (new name) at top of Ilion Formation also assigned to Salina Group in this report. [Revision to Ilion in conflict with Art. 28 of the NACSN and is not recommended.]
