Shown as a unit [unranked] in upper part of Admiral Formation of Albany Group, and separately mapped. Present in Throckmorton Co, north-central TX on Bend arch. Is gray to dark brown, fine to coarse grained, bioclastic, platy to thin bedded, burrowed, desiccation-cracked, locally sandy and argillaceous, with a discontinuous outcrop. In southern part of Throckmorton Co, composes a zone 5-15 ft thick of as many as three thin, lenticular limestone beds, argillaceous; beds contain mudstone clasts and carbonaceous fragments, intercalated with tan and red mudstone, locally grading to calcareous sandstone. Fossils are mostly pelecypods (MYALINA), phylloid algae, and brachiopods. Thickness is 2-15 ft. Age is Wolfcamp (Early Permian). Geologic map.
