Summary:

Named for 225-m-thick sequence of slope forming shale and silty limestone exposed one km west of Morgan Pass in sec.21 T32N R68E, Morgan Pass 7.5' quad at northern terminus of Goshute Mountains, Elko Co, NV, which is designated type section. Consists of strata designated as units F and G by Day and others (1987). Is present south of Silver Zone Pass in central Toano Range and in northern Goshute Mountains. Uppermost 19 m of unit well exposed in type section where oolitic grainstones, rip-up clasts, and stromatolitic layers occur within calcareous siltstone and limestone sequence. Overlies Clifside Limestone (new); underlies Decoy Limestone (new). Faunas of BOLASPIDELLA Assemblage Zone occur in basal beds in central Toano Range and 40 and 65 m above base at type section. ELDORADIA Assemblage Zone fauna occur in uppermost 20 m at type section. Thus age is considered Middle Cambrian.
