Summary:

Moran Corner Waterlime here named near Rochester, NY, and assigned to the revised Bertie Group as uppermost unit. Overlies Cobleskill Formation, here newly assigned to the Bertie. Moran Corner is lithologically similar to the Phelps Waterlime Member of the Fiddlers Green Formation. Contains mudcracked horizon at top and salt hoppers throughout. Eurypterid fauna common. Thickness approximately 1 m. Absent on Niagara Peninsula where the Clanbrassil Formation rests disconformably on the Cobleskill. Underlies Honeoye Falls Formation in type area.
