Summary:

Defined as being less metamorphosed, and therefore younger, than Idaho Springs Formation and older than Pikes Peak Granite. However, granite that cuts the unit is not Pikes Peak but of Boulder Creek type and age. Listed as a unit of Arkansas River area of pre-1,700 m.y. (or Precambrian X age) metamorphic complex, in Southern Rocky Mountain region.
