Again redefined his Lansing group by excluding at top the Weston shale, Iatan limestone, and lower part of Lawrence shale, to which latter bed he applied new name Hardesly shale. The 3 latter units he assembled under new name Pedee group. Age is Late Pennsylvanian (Missouri age).

Extended as an undivided unit into the subsurface of Baca County, Colorado, in the Anadarko basin, east of the Las Animas arch. Overlies Kansas City group (undivided) and underlies Peedee group (undivided). Age is Late Pennsylvanian (Missourian). Report includes correlation chart.
