Pg. 92, 97. Island Creek shale member of Wyandotte limestone of Lansing group. Age is Late Pennsylvanian (Missouri age). [See under Wyandotte limestone. Origin of name not stated. On p. 46 Island Creek shale is described as consisting of 1 to 14 feet of gray argillaceous shale.]
