Summary:

[Named for flow inland from hwy near Huehue Ranch of the historic 1800-1801 member of Hualalai Volcanic Series, Island of Hawaii.] [no type designated] Composed of olivine basalt and contains pieces of charred wood in its tree molds. Is younger than Kaupulehu flow, informal(?) unit of 1800-1801 historic member.

Summary:

1801 Huehue lava flow from Hualalai Volcano flowed 4 to 5 mi to sea. Submerged pillow lavas were studied to depths of 130 ft. [Huehue flow abandoned as formal name in Keroher, 1966]
