Named for High Creek. Type section designated in sec 11, T14N, R2E, Cache Co, UT in Wasatch uplift. Ranges from thin bedded to very dark gray limestone with numerous shale partings to thick bedded, medium to light gray limestone with abundant intraformational conglomerates, oolites and Girvanella. Overlies and intertongues with Brigham Quartzite and Spence Tongue of Lead Bell Shale. Underlies Cub Shale Member of Ute Limestone, or Cub Tongue of Lead Bell Shale. Is of Middle Cambrian age.
