Summary:

Table opp. p. 61, p. 134. [Harvest Home shale member of Cuyahoga formation.] Proposed Harvest Home shale member to replace lower Meadville shale of early reports on northwestern Pennsylvania. Age is Mississippian.
Well exposed along Rock Creek, Greenwood Twp., Crawford Co., northwestern PA, especially at Peterson's Falls, on the edge of which is located the Harvest Home Grove, widely known in Crawford Co.
[GNC remark (April 2, 2012): No references in GNC index card files to indicate usage since its introduction. Name is considered abandoned; rocks included in Meadville Shale Member of Cuyahoga. See Meadville.]
