Summary:

Is oldest Upper Cretaceous formation in Silver Bell Mountains (Pima Co, AZ) in Basin-and-Range province. Presumably overlies unnamed arkosic sedimentary rocks of probable Early Cretaceous age. Underlies Silver Bell Formation (Campanian) of Richard and Courtright (1960). Is considered roughly correlative with Fort Crittenden Formation. Age is shown as Late Campanian (Late Cretaceous) on correlation chart (fig. 5).
