Summary:

Blunt Run is new name for unranked marine equivalent of the Boggs ore. [Replaces name Boggs marine limestone.] Name is from type section on Blunt Run in Muskingum Co., OH, according to M.C. Hansen of the Ohio Geological Survey (oral commun, 1992). Occurs in Pottsville Group or Formation. Age is Pennsylvanian.
