Pg. 48-51, pl. 1. Blue River group. Comprises (ascending) St. Louis limestone, Ste. Genevieve limestone, and Paoli limestone (amended). Only upper 70 feet of group exposed in Huron area; well records show group to be about 400 feet thick. Underlies West Baden group. Age is Late Mississippian (Chester).
Well exposed along banks of Blue River which drains parts of Washington, Harrison, and Crawford Cos., south-central IN.

Previous usage of the Blue River Group in Indiana (Shaver and others, 1986) is here revised. This new nomenclature is now considered official IN State usage. Both in the subsurface and in outcrop, divided into (ascending) St. Louis, Ste. Genevieve, and Paoli Limestones. Aux Vases and Renault, previously formations in the subsurface, now regarded as members of Paoli Limestone, replacing Popcorn and Shetlerville Members of previous surface usage.
