Summary:

Pg. 66, 68, 69. Black Panther marker bed (informal; of local usage) in lower member of Bluebell dolomite. Dusky-gray to grayish-black dolomite; prominently banded with thin and thick layers that range in color from medium dark-gray to creamy-white. Base marked by a flat-pebble conglomerate. Thickness 45 feet. Occurs above Beecher beds of local usage, 130-170 feet above base of Bluebell. Fossiliferous (brachiopods, cephalopods). Age is Silurian, based on fossils.
