Summary:

Bell Canyon Formation, uppermost formation of the Delaware Mountain Group. Present in central Delaware basin, west Texas. The uppermost unit of Bell Canyon, the Lamar Member, is underlain by informally designated Bell Canyon "A" and "B" sand [sandstone] packages. Bell Canyon "A" sand consists of (in descending order) Trap, Ramsey, Ford, Olds, and Hays Members. Sharply underlies Castile Formation and overlies Cherry Canyon Formation. [Age is Permian (probably Guadalupian).]
