Summary:

Pg. 40. Allen Ranch Breccia Member of Segovia Formation [of Edwards Group]. Chiefly limestone. Thickness 7 m at type locality. Overlies Burt Ranch Member; underlies "Gryphaea" bed member, both of Segovia Formation. Age is Early Cretaceous (Comanchean).
Type locality: roadcuts on U.S. Highway I-10, 1.6 km west of intersection with U.S. Highway 290, Kimble Co., TX. Named from exposures in bed of Allen Creek, on Allen Ranch, east of U.S. Highway 83, Kimble Co., TX.
