Type locality: upper part of main mass of Notch Peak, House Range, western UT (Walcott, 1908).
Principal reference section [composite]: Notch Peak 15-min quadrangle, [Sneakover Pass area], central House Range, Millard Co., central western UT; lower part in SE/4 sec. 35 [unsurveyed], T. 19 S., R. 13 W., and in sec. 2, T. 20 S., R. 13 W.; middle and upper parts in sec. 5 [unsurveyed], T. 20 S., R. 13 W. (Hintze and others, 1988).
