In western Brooks Range, includes (alphabetical): Kogruk Formation*, Kuna Formation*, Nasorak Formation*, Tupik Formation*, Utukok Formation* (see Sable and Dutro, 1961; Campbell, 1967; Mull and others, 1982).
In central and (or) eastern Brooks Range, includes (alphabetical): Akmalik Chert*, Alapah Limestone*, Kuna Formation*, Wachsmuth Limestone*, Wahoo Limestone* (see Bowsher and Dutro, 1957; Brosge and others, 1962; Mull and others, 1982).

[Named from Cape Lisburne, northwestern AK. Extends almost continuously for 600 mi to Canadian boundary (Schrader, 1902).]
