Type section: just east of junction of Teepee Trail and [unamed] trail, in T. 44 N., R. 104 W., Fremont Co., WY. Named from Teepee Trail which crosses East Fork-Bear Creek divide midway between Castle Rock and Steamboat Rock and joins a trail at junction of Boulder Creek with East Fork River in T. 43 N., R. 104 W., Fremont Co., WY (Love, 1939).
