Type section: roadcuts on MS State Route 30, 1.4 to 2.1 mi south of Keownville, Union Co., on north-facing slope of Willhite Creek valley and parallel to Daniel Creek, a north-flowing tributary of Willhite Creek, in E/2 sec. 31, T. 6 S., R. 4 E. (Sohl, 1960).
