Type section: cuts 0.5 mi (0.8 km) south of Dry Fork, a town on State Road 718 about 0.5 mi (o.8 km) west of U.S. Highway 29, along the Southern Railway on Whiteoak Mountain, Mount Hermon quadrangle, Pittsylvania Co., VA (Meyertons, 1963).
