Type section, locality, area and/or origin of name:

Type section (composite): (1) lower conglomerate member, east end of ridge 2.5 km S. 45 deg. E. of outlet of Upper Copper Lake; (2) middle sandstone and siltstone member, east slope of peak 2432, 1.6 km south of west end of Boot Lake; (3) upper conglomerate member, ravine cutting east face of ridge between Fog and Kakhonak Lakes, 4 km S. 65 deg. E. of Fog Lake (Detterman and Reed, 1980).
