Type section: exposures in bed of unnamed creek tributary to Tanner Canyon, 1.6 km west of Comanche Point, southeast side of river between Tanner Canyon and Comanche Creek, eastern Grand Canyon of the Colorado River, Vishnu Temple quadrangle, Coconino Co., AZ (Stevenson and Beus, 1982).
