Summary:

Named as third highest member (of four) of South Park Formation, of Paleocene age for Link Spring, Park Co, CO in South Park basin. Type locality designated north of Link Spring on the Elkhorn Road in sec 6, T10S, R75W. Is composed of laminated waterlaid tuff, gray, brown, and pale green volcanic breccia and flows of andesite, and minor porphyry-cobble conglomerate in a tuffaceous matrix. Has a maximum thickness of 700 ft (213 m). Overlies unnamed conglomerate member. Underlies unnamed arkosic member. Biotite sample has a K-Ar date of 58.4 +/-2.0 m.y. Assigned to the Paleocene.
