Summary:

Named for Camille Cone. Type locality designated as Imuruk Lake area, Seward peninsula, AK. Crops out discontinuously from Camille Cone 24 mi west of junction of Goose Creek and Noxapaga River. Overlies Gosling and Imuruk volcanics; underlies Lost Jim lava flow between Lava Lake and Camille Cone. Consists of large generally smooth pahoehoe lava flow generally less than 25 ft thick; lava cone is 100 ft high and 1 mi in diameter accumulated over source vent, surmounted by Camille Cone which is a welded agglomerate cone 65 ft high. Surface is brecciated by frost riving. Age is probably late Wisconsin.
