Type Locality: Type section: SW/4 sec. 32, T. 34 N., R. 37 E., to sec. 24 and 23, T. 34 N., R. 36 E., Rose Creek 7.5-min quadrangle, Pershing Co., NV (Burke and Silberling, 1973). Subunits: (alphabetical): Andorno Formation (NV*), Dun Glen Formation (NV*), Grass Valley Formation (NV*), Mullinix Formation (NV*), O'Neill Formation (NV*), Osobb Formation (NV*), Rasberry Formation (NV*), Singas Formation (NV*), Winnemucca Formation (NV*). Unit Name History: Named, divided into (ascending) Grass Valley, Osobb, Dun Glen, Winnemucca, Raspberry, O'Neill, Singas, Andorno, and Mullinix formations (Burke and Silberling, 1973).
