Type Locality: [Presumably] Martin Ridge, in T. 15 N., R. 49 E., which separates Copenhagen Canyon on west from Antelope Valley on east, south Eureka Co., NV (Nolan and others, 1956; McKee, 1976). Subunits: (alphabetical): Aysees Member (NV*), Paiute Ridge Member (CA,NV*), Ranger Mountains Member (CA*,NV*). Unit Name History: Name proposed for the uppermost formation of Pogonip Group (Nolan and others, 1956). Age modified (Yochelson, 1957). Areal limits (Roberts and others, 1958; Kay, 1960). Includes (ascending) Pauite Ridge, Ranger Mountains, and Aysees Members (Byers and others, 1961). Age modified (Merriam, 1963). Areal limits (Ross, 1964; Burchfiel and others, 1974). Age modified (Ross and others, 1975; McKee, 1976). Areal limits (Hose, 1983; Maldonado and Schmidt, 1991; Monsen and others, 1992).
