Not designated. Named from a creek in Oldham Co., TX (Gould, 1907).

Unit Name History:
Name proposed for the upper formation (of 2) of Dockum Group (Gould, 1907).
Mapped 1:250k in Quay Co., NM and Oldham, Hartley, Potter, and Moore Cos., TX (Barnes, 1983).
Revised to member of Dockum Formation (Chatterjee, 1986).
Revised, rests on newly named Garita Creek Formation; Areal limits (Lucas and Hunt, 1989).
