Type section: Agency Bridge, on the east side of the Truckee River, in NW/4 NW/4 NE/4 sec. 1, T. 22 N., R. 23 E., Nixon 15-min quadrangle, Washoe Co., NV. Named from the Paiute Indian word for Pyramid Island (Davis, 1978).
