Not designated. Exposed along Snake River, in vicinity of Ann River (in T. 42 N., R. 43 N., Kanabec Co., central MN), and in quarries at Pierz, Isle, and Warman, central MN. Origin of name not stated by author, but probably named from Warman (Woyski, 1949).
Type locality stated to be near village of Warman, in SE/4 sec. 5, T. 41 N., R. 23 W. (Morey, 1978).
